From the Gospel of Luke

One — Ten Silver Coins
10

A woman had ten silver coins, precious to her. She counted them carefully, one by one.

Two — Only Nine
? 9?

But when she counted — only nine. Her face fell. One coin was gone.

Three — Light the Lamp

She lit her clay lamp and began sweeping every corner. The coin had to be somewhere.

Four — Every Corner

She looked under the table, behind the door, into every dark corner. She would not give up.

Five — Found!

A tiny glint in the lamplight. There — the coin! Her face lit up with joy.

Six — Holding It Close

She held the coin close to her heart. Outside, dawn was breaking. The night of searching was over.

Seven — Celebrate With Me!

She ran to the door and called her neighbours. "Be happy with me! I found the coin I lost!"

A Small Question

Have you ever found something
you thought was lost?

Doesn't she light a lamp, sweep the house and search carefully until she finds it?

From Luke, Chapter 15
