From the Gospel of Luke
There was once a shepherd who took care of one hundred sheep.
Every evening, he counted them. One. Two. Three. All the way to a hundred.
But tonight, when he counted... only ninety-nine. One little sheep was missing.
The shepherd left the ninety-nine safe sheep behind, and went to find the one.
It was dark and the wind was cold. He looked behind every rock and every tree.
He cupped his hands and called her name, again and again, into the cold dark.
There she was. So small. So cold. The shepherd knelt down and gently picked her up.
He lifted her onto his shoulders and carried her, all the way home.
The first light of morning touched the hills. Far ahead, a small village waited, lamps still glowing in the windows.
He called his friends. "Be glad with me!" he said. "I found my lost sheep!"
“Heaven is full of joy when even one is found.”
You finished The Lost Sheep. Your garden has one more flower in it.
