From the Gospel of Matthew, Chapter 7
Two friends decided to build houses near the sea. Both full of excitement — but each with a very different plan.
The wise builder dug down deep — past the soft earth — all the way to the solid rock beneath.
The foolish builder didn't want to wait. He built straight on the sand, and his house rose up fast — but crooked.
Day's end. Both houses stood — finished. But far away, dark clouds were gathering.
Then the storm arrived — rain poured, wind howled, and great waves came crashing against the shore.
The rock house held fast. Rain beat on the roof. Waves crashed below. But inside — warm, dry, safe.
After the storm, the rock house still stood. But the sand house had fallen — crumbled into rubble by the sea.
“Everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
Well done for finishing this story.
