From the Gospel of Luke, Chapter 11
A traveler arrived late — tired and hungry. The host looked at the empty table, the empty cupboards. Not a crumb of bread.
At midnight the host went to a neighbor's door. He knocked, lantern in hand. "May I borrow some bread?" he called into the dark.
A head appeared at the upstairs window. "It's late!" the neighbor grumbled. "My family is asleep. Don't bother me."
But the host did not go away. He stayed. He raised his hand to knock again — gentle but steady, patient in the dark.
At last — the door swung open. Warm light spilled out. The neighbor, grumbling but giving, handed over the bread.
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
Well done for finishing this story.
