The Sower
From the Gospel of Matthew
Before the sun was fully up, the farmer set out for the fields with his seed bag full of hope.
A farmer went out to plant. He walked through his fields, scattering seeds everywhere.
Some seeds fell on the hard path. Birds swooped down and ate them up.
Some seeds fell on rocky ground. They sprouted quickly, but the scorching sun withered them away.
Some seeds fell among thorns. The prickly weeds grew up and choked the little plants.
But some seeds fell on good soil! They grew into a beautiful golden wheat field.
Days turned to weeks. The wheat grew tall, then turned from green to gold, swaying gently in the warm wind.
The farmer came at harvest with a huge smile. One hundred times what he planted!
Where would you want
the seeds to land?
“And other seeds fell on good soil and produced a crop, a hundred times what was sown.”
A flower bloomed.
You finished The Sower. Your garden has one more flower in it.
